British Columbia Driving Test

1. Your child is ready for a booster seat when:

He/She is in the 18-36 kg (40 lbs - 80 lbs) weight range less than 8 years old and under 4 feet 9 inches in height.

He/She is more than 8 kg (18lbs) under the age of 8 and under 4 feet 9 inches in height.

He/She is more than 9 kg (20lbs) under the age of 8 and under 4 feet 9 inches in height.

He/She must use a booster until the age of 9.
